Both these games look incomparably concluding gen (Forspoken has some nice magic effects, but the bundle equally a whole looks a little dated) - they're trying to get away with a lot on these prices.
  • #12
Oh wow, information technology is $lxx in the Us. I knew the $lxx toll tag would come to PC somewhen but I wasn't it quite this quickly. But I guess someone has condition people to the new price betoken so I guess Square is diving in on behalf of the residue of the game publishers!

Interesting, this comes after removing the FF7:Remake price from being shown after backlash on EGS. Which patently the price is shown over again, so maybe that was just a glitch?

Nosotros tin can single out SE and these specific games as much as we want but the reality is that this is happening with a ton of publishers. Information technology'southward mostly merely indie games that are offering great regional pricing these days.

And the main reason this is happening is because of people exploiting regional pricing so... yes.

I had thought Bablylon's Fall was free to play already lol. I think everyone can just save their 70 bucks. I was pretty underwhelmed by the beta. Information technology seemed serviceable simply something has to exist special to earn the big $70 at launch.

SE survives through nil but moneyhats these days.

Babylon's Fall will bomb as hard as Balan Wonderworld at that price.

Both games look bland, especially babylon'due south fall would probabably bomb at half the cost, let lone the price they are asking for. How is this fifty-fifty a thing?

Due south-Eastward outside of FF14 has really become i of the worst PC pubs.

Meanwhile Capcom wants to brand PC their main platform. Bamco stopped fucking around and dropped Denuvo for adept. Sega has always been skilful to PC and Atlus is finally kneeling.

And FF16 soon will be more than expensive once it announces adjacent twelvemonth.
We probably won't see sixteen on PC next year.

And the chief reason this is happening is because of people exploiting regional pricing so... aye.

That's simply something greedy developers and publishers like to trot out as an excuse. Valve has clamped down hard on cross-region purchasing over the past few years. In fact, non but did No More Robots recently publish a sales breakdown of Let'southward Build a Zoo showing only a few percent of sales were from Argentine republic, but a few devs accept actually rolled back their custom regional pricing in the wake of further adjustments Valve made back in the center of the year (e.g. inXile with Wasteland three).

Cantankerous-region purchasing on Steam is still possible, but it's neither like shooting fish in a barrel nor common.
